Account and Data Deletion

This page provides instructions on how to delete your data associated with the Rainboku mobile and web application.

Our app stores game progress locally on your device and uses cloud services (Google Firebase, Google Play Games, and Apple Game Center) for multiplayer features, leaderboards, and achievements.

1. Deleting Local App Data

This action permanently removes all your locally saved game progress, history, stats, and settings from your device.

This includes:

Instructions (Android):

  1. Open your device's Settings app.
  2. Navigate to "Apps".
  3. Find and tap on "Rainboku".
  4. Tap on "Storage & cache".
  5. Tap "Clear storage".

Instructions (iOS):

  1. Uninstalling the application will delete all locally stored data.

Instructions (Web):

  1. Open your browser's Settings.
  2. Find "Cookies and other site data".
  3. Search for "Rainboku" (or rainboku.io) and clear stored data.

2. Multiplayer Cloud Data (Firebase)

Rainboku uses Google Firebase to facilitate real-time multiplayer games. This involves storing temporary game rooms and anonymous user identifiers.

Automatic Deletion:

Multiplayer game data (game board state, moves, and chat/interactions) is automatically deleted from our servers when:

Manual Deletion Request:

If you believe a game room has remained active in error or you wish to request the deletion of your anonymous multiplayer identifier:

  1. Contact us at privacy@alpentor.com.
  2. Please provide the Room Code if available.
  3. We will manually purge the associated data from our database.

3. Third-Party Accounts (Leaderboards & Achievements)

If you sign in to use Leaderboards or Achievements, this data is managed by your platform provider (Google or Apple). We do not store this data on our own servers.

Google Play Games (Android)

  1. Go to Google My Account > "Data & privacy".
  2. Under "Data from apps and services you use," find Google Play Games.
  3. Select "Delete Play Games account & data" to remove data for specific apps like Rainboku.

Apple Game Center (iOS)

  1. Open device Settings > Game Center.
  2. You can manage your profile or sign out to stop syncing data.
  3. To remove specific achievement data, you may need to delete the app and remove it from your iCloud backups.
